Digital accessibility statement

The Tourist Board of the City of Oroslavje strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Act on Accessibility of Websites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies of the Republic of Croatia (“Narodne novine”, number 17/19; hereinafter: the Act) which transposes the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (OJ L 327, 2.12.2016).

This Accessibility Statement applies to the online headquarters of the Tourist Board of the City of Oroslavje located at www.tzoroslavje.hr

Adjustments made to the website

With the Accessibility Menu, when creating and publishing content, we take care that it is accessible to people with disabilities, the elderly, and/or people with reduced abilities in such a way that certain criteria are met:

  • The texts are aligned to the left to make it easier for people with concentration disorders to read and in an appropriate size
  • The background and text contrasts are in the prescribed proportions, however, some parts will need to be further optimized
  • There is no audio or video content on the page that starts by itself without user interaction
  • The page can be operated using the keyboard
  • Published texts are in a font that can be understood by voice text readers, which can be increased and decreased through the Accessibility Menu and free extensions that can be installed in Internet browsers.
  • The contrast of the page can be changed (4 types of visual impairment-colorblindness)
  • There are no forms or scripts whose execution is time-limited on the page
  • The site is responsive and adapted to displays on all devices
  • There is no automatic language change of the text on the page, which would confuse users
  • For better readability and easier navigation, special attention has been paid to the spacing between elements on the page and the consistency of navigation, and the same can be additionally regulated through the side Accessibility Menu
  • The user knows where he is on the page at all times
  • The network center contains an integrated font enlargement system
  • The accessibility system can be turned off and on according to the user’s preferences

Degree of compliance

This website is partially compliant with the Law on Accessibility of Websites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies. Most of the requirements of the European standard EN 301 549 V1.1.2 (2015-04) are met, but with some exceptions.

Inaccessible content

www.tzoroslavje.hr is largely compliant with the Accessibility Act, and exceptions to compliance are reflected in the following:

  • All published photos do not have a suitable description
  • It is necessary to optimize the contrast in some parts, the optimal contrast ratio is 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for enlarged text.
  • There are no corresponding descriptive texts for all links.
  • Some of the posted documents are the author’s work of third parties and are not available in machine-readable form.

For all the listed inconsistencies, the Tourist Board of the City of Oroslavje temporarily invokes an exception due to a disproportionate burden in the sense of Article 8 of the Law

Raising the level of accessibility

In further upgrading, the website www.tzoroslavje.hr will try to raise the level of accessibility to the greatest extent possible by trying to implement recommendations for improving accessibility.
